With an elegant yet whimsical twist, flowers by Poetry in Petals capture a moment in time, celebrating the very best of our home-grown, seasonal blooms in a riot of colour and scent.
Drawing on an understanding of form and movement from my days as a ballet dancer, I love to incorporate hedgerow foliage and artfully foraged native blooms alongside our hand-grown flowers - gently taming their wildness to layer texture, fragrance and structure.
Whether you want to say thank you, congratulate a success, offer heartfelt condolences or celebrate the most important day of your life, I truly believe that flowers have the ability to transform life’s special moments into unforgettable memories.
Seasonal
From the delicate beauty of Icelandic poppies and the heady scent of stocks, to towering delphiniums and flamboyant dahlias, our flowers are sown and grown in tune with the seasons on our micro flower farm in the Surrey countryside.
Our British flowers are vibrant and full of scent, grown alongside quirky seed heads and feathery grasses for texture, and an array of beautiful, unusual foliage for depth. From May to October, we hand-pick each bloom at its very best, ensuring it reaches your bouquet or table in its prime.
Sustainable
Our sustainable approach to growing ensures we are treading lightly on the planet. Every stem you receive will have been sown by hand or propagated from a cutting, grown in line with the ethical principles of ‘slow farming’, free of pesticides and any plastic packaging.
Our flowers support our entire local ecosystem, from bees and other pollinators to birds and friendly garden hedgehogs. Once cut, any waste or remaining stems are returned to the soil in the form of compost, ready to nourish next year’s crop.

From May to October, we sell hand-picked bouquets every Friday – perfect for a gift or simply a pick-me-up! Collect directly from the field in accordance with the latest government safety guidelines, or enquire about delivery to across the Mole Valley area.

A three-month curated subscription of Poetry in Petals’ seasonal blooms. Available from our micro flower farm in Bookham, Surrey on the first Friday of every month from May to July or August to October, our seasonal subscriptions are brimming with freshly-picked flowers and foliage for you to arrange at home. Subscribers will also receive exclusive access to live video tutorials for each month’s collection.

Come and choose your perfect ingredients for a DIY bouquet or our signature hand-tied posies from our pop-up flower truck. Parked in different locations across the Mole Valley area every week, Nicol will be on hand to help you select the very best of our seasonal, scented blooms. Monthly subscriptions are also available.
Seasonal Workshops
Heralding each of the seasons, Poetry in Petals’ quarterly workshops are inspired by the changing landscape of the garden. From ‘pick-your-own’ spring bulbs and summer hand-tied bouquets, to dried flower wreaths in autumn and festive winter sessions, our workshops offer a gentle introduction to flower arranging and seasonal flowers.
Weddings
Operating a totally bespoke approach to wedding floristry, I offer a unique service to every couple I meet. Whether you wish to embark on your own ‘seed to centrepiece’ growing journey, learn how to arrange your own wedding flowers with buckets from the farm, or take the traditional approach (with every stem and arrangement carefully curated for you), you will be sure of fresh, fragrant flowers; grown with love and gathered by hand.
